The key to identifying & treating the root cause

Functional testing and pathology

As a science-based clinical naturopath, Jordyn utilises functional testing and pathology to better identify, understand and treat the root cause for dysfunction within the body. Access the tools you need to confidently manage your health.

How does it work?

  1. Purchase the functional pathology test that you wish to complete by booking the correct corresponding appointment package HERE.

  2. You will receive an email confirmation from ‘Cliniko’ which will contain an Intake Form for you to complete.

  3. Once you’ve completed the Intake Form, your pathology referral will be requested through our third-party functional testing partners, who will send your testing kit to your home address as provided on your initial intake form, or will provide you with a referral to take to your local blood collection centre (depending on the test you choose).

  4. Once the testing process has been completed, and in the case of the microbiome map samples have been returned to the laboratory, your sample will be analysed and processed. Blood samples generally return results within 2-3 weeks, and complete microbiome map samples generally return results within 3-4 weeks.

  5. On the day of your consultation, you will be able to discuss your results and any questions that you may have with your practitioner. You will also receive a detailed report from your naturopath explaining your test results, the suggested treatment plan to correct any issues identified and access to practitioner-only products.

  • The Complete Microbiome Map is one of the most sought-after gut health functional tests. It assesses a patient’s microbiome from one single stool sample, providing extensive information as to the underlying causes of digestive, hormonal and metabolic dysfunction.

The panel includes a comprehensive understanding of:

    • Normal bacteria

    • Opportunistic/dysbiotic bacteria

    • Bacterial and viral pathogens

    • Potential autoimmune triggering bacteria

    • Helicobacter pylori with virulence factors

    • Fungi/Yeast

    • Parasites

    • Worms

    • Leaky gut

    • Inflammation in the bowel

    • Immune response (in the gut) to gluten

    • Beta-glucoronidase

  • Thyroid abnormalities are one of the most common endocrine disorders affecting millions worldwide. Thyroid hormones are well known for their role in basal metabolic rate, development and growth. Hypothyroidism affects approximately 4-5% of the population whilst estimates for hyperthyroidism are 0.4-2%.

The Full Thyroid Panel is a hormone test designed to provide a comprehensive analysis of thyroid hormone metabolism. It measures levels of TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, anti-TG antibodies, and anti-TPO antibodies to assess central and peripheral thyroid function, as well as thyroid auto-immunity.

  • Just like your gut, your vagina also houses its very own bacterial ecosystem. This test provides insights into the bacterial diversity in your vagina from one single vaginal swab in the comfort of your own home.

Vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis (BV), vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), and trichomoniasis (TV), are among the most common reasons for which women seek medical investigation.

  • Hormones are the foundation of a woman’s reproductive health, playing a critical role in regulating menstruation, fertility, and libido. This blood test examines the key hormones produced by the brain and ovaries that influence your menstrual cycle and overall hormonal balance. Imbalances can contribute to acne, amenorrhoea, painful periods, PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, and changes in fertility. Gain clarity on your hormonal health and take the first step toward restoring balance and wellbeing.
